Deborah Pasch

Deborah Lynn Pasch graduated from Central High in 1972. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Maryville University in 1990 and an MBA from Washington University in 1992. She lives in Midlothian, VA.
Deborah is the chief nursing officer at the CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Va. She was brought to the medical center with the mission of changing a troubled environment with high turnover and low nursing staff morale. While at CJW, Deborah has developed and established programs to transform culture, initiated long-term recruitment and retention programs and designed units on two campuses to enhance revenue and respond to patient needs.
Previously, Deborah served as the chief operating officer and chief nursing officer of the UCLA-Santa Monica Medical Center and as vice president of patient care services for the St. Louis Regional Medical Center. She has also worked in leadership positions at BJC Health Systems, Group Health Plan and Washington University.
Deborah is passionate about solving the nursing shortage in our country and has traveled to several countries to recruit nurses. Her efforts have helped lead to an increased enrollment in nursing schools, as she has worked with organizations to increase funding and look for creative ways to bring more people back into the nursing profession. She spends much of her personal time in this endeavor and has worked with state nursing organizations in Missouri, California and Virginia.
Other activities and honors include serving on the advisory board of the nursing department at John Tyler Community College and as vice president of the Dorothy Mae Johnson Foundation. Deborah is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Scholastic Honor Society.
