alperMark Lincoln

North 1976

Mark J. Lincoln graduated from North High in 1976. He received his bachelor's degree in 1979 and his MBA in 1980, both from Washington University. He currently lives in Ladue, MO.

Mark is the founder of Thirdsigma Corporation, an investment and consulting firm focused on growing businesses and commercial real estate. Current clients include Tower Tee in Affton and shopping centers and office buildings in Chesterfield, Ellisville and Hazelwood. Prior to founding Thirdsigma, Mark was a financial analyst and principal at Donelan, Phelps & Company/Clarkson Group, a real estate and business investment firm.

Throughout Mark's career, he has been involved directly and indirectly as an investor in over 50 businesses and as an educator and advisor to many more. These roles have helped entrepreneurs succeed and create jobs and community development.

Mark co-founded the St. Louis chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, a peer-to-peer network for learning. He served as the treasurer for YEO International and as the president of the World Entrepreneurs Organization. Mark has also been actively involved with the Civic Entrepreneurs Organization and as a board member of the Thomas Jefferson School.

The Parkway community owes great thanks to Mark for founding the Parkway Alumni Association in 1991. He and several North '76 classmates planned out the organization after their 15-year reunion. Mark envisioned an association that was more than just a social organization, but one that gave back to the Parkway community. The association's mission statement epitomizes Mark's commitment to giving back to the community, "To encourage communication among alumni and to foster programs which serve and support the Parkway community." Mark served as the first association president and now serves on the honorary board. He received the Superintendent's Award in 1994 for his volunteer work for the betterment of the district.
