Jason Johnson Memorial Fund
Jason graduated from Parkway North Senior High School in 1989, and went on to college to pursue his dream of football. A psychology major at Missouri Southern University in Joplin, Missouri, he counseled teens at the Gateway Youth Center during college. This experience inspired him to change his dream. Instead of football, he wanted to organize a youth facility that would use sports as a vehicle to work with youth with learning disabilities and behavioral issues. Unfortunately, he was murdered in Joplin, Missouri before his dream could be realized.
Jason’s dream lives on through this fund, which supports athletics, and personal growth and development grants.
